The Trade Inn is a fantasy-themed tabletop hobby store and immersive tavern-style venue. In addition to retail and community events, we offer exclusive private venue hire for gaming groups, social events, and corporate functions.
Your booking gives you full private access to the entire Inn.

Entire venue is private for your group only
No shared use during bookings
PRICING
Base Rate
R125 per person per hour
Group Discount
2% discount per additional guest
Applied to total booking cost per session
Maximum discount capped at 30%
MINIMUM & PAYMENTS
Minimum booking: 2 hours
Full payment required upfront to confirm booking
Bookings are not reserved without payment
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations 48+ hours before booking → full refund
Cancellations within 48 hours → non-refundable
No-shows → 50% of booking value retained
LATE ARRIVALS & OVERTIME
Late Arrival
Booking time starts at the scheduled time
No extensions for late arrival
Overtime
Additional time is only allowed if venue is available
Charged at normal hourly rate per person
Must be approved by staff (Innkeepers)

Mondays: 10:00 – 20:00
Tuesdays: Closed
Wednesdays: 18:00 – 22:00
Thursdays: 18:00 – 22:00
Fridays: Closed
Saturdays: 14:00 – 22:00
Sundays: 16:00 – 22:00
COMPLIMENTARY PERKS
For every 2 hours booked per guest, each attendee receives:
1 complimentary drink (non-alcoholic)
1 complimentary snack (from selected options)
Allowed:
Outside food (self-catering)
Alcoholic beverages
Disposable plates/cups
Not allowed:
Open flames
Cooking equipment or food preparation appliances

Guests are encouraged to bring:

Rulebooks

We offer a basic starter kit if needed.
DAMAGE POLICY
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to The Trade Inn’s property. Intentional damage will be charged in full, while accidental damage will be handled with reasonable discretion depending on the circumstances.
This includes:
- Furniture
- Board games
- Décor and themed props
- Electronics, including the TV
- Any other store property
Where charges apply, the amount will be based on the full replacement cost using current retail or equivalent market pricing.
HOUSE RULES (ALL GUESTS MUST FOLLOW)
Respect all guests and staff
No harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness
No cheating or disruptive behaviour
No violence or threats
Respect all property and equipment
Follow Innkeeper instructions at all times
Food and drinks must be handled carefully
Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
LIABILITY WAIVER
The Trade Inn is not responsible for:
Injury or personal harm during bookings
Loss or damage of personal belongings
Damage caused by guest behaviour or negligence
Guests participate at their own risk.
RIGHT OF REFUSAL
The Trade Inn reserves the right to:
Refuse or terminate bookings
Remove individuals or groups causing disruption
Protect staff, guests, and property at all times
Refunds under such circumstances are at management discretion.
